Hey 12 tru Idaho

Recommended Posts

we are considering taking hwy 12 tru Idaho on our way to three forks Montana.

 Has anyone taken this road?

Will be my big camper and a 24' travel traler behind it.

 Will be about 12.5' height.

Looks like a beautiful drive, but don't want to loose too much time.

A few years ago ( 8ish) Skipand I took a two week treck on that route and side rides with the side x sides .. absolutely beautiful country and a ton of history too, near the top of the elevation care for camp sites is needed the mosquitoes are black cloud thick as the snow has left a ton of wet spots for them to breed,  lots of stagnant water

this was a very nice trip Skip was the tour guide as he has been a Idaho resident his whole life , was a avid hunter and knows the state very  well also heavy equipment operator and logger so worked many of these areas .

Might want to contact him for touring ideas ????

most area’s are camper friendly , beautiful log house ranger station near the top of the pass.

Been there, done that...  I wish I would have taken a picture of the sign "Winding Road next 99 miles"

thanks all.

It was a healthful drive with no rush and an easy pace.

 Never had anyone behind us.

Not bad at all, I didnt think it was any worse than any other pass i have been on.

Much easier than rattlesnake ridge in NE OR/SE Wa.

 Or 197 out of Mapin
