Looks like a good turnout.  Sorry I didn't make it.  I have so much to do around here with all that happened this week I thought it was best to stay home and work.   Playing in the mud here though I started thinking otherwise.

Hopefully next year I'll have less projects going on.

Where did everyone disappear to? We came out of the observatory and my truck was the only one left. I swear that I showered!

Sorry!  Most didn't feel like paying to enter the observatory or to "look" at the mountain so we went back to the parking lot.

Once there we had a short BS session complete with a drone flight.

After that people started going their own way.

I wasn't trying to be rude but I wanted to get a flight in at the bridge before it started raining!

You allowed to fly that drone toward the crater?

That would be an awesome video.

Not a problem here. I was back playing with Ashlee since she was awake.

If the weather was good I would try.  I have about a 4 mile range LOS.

I 100% expected someone from the FS to come down and yell at me for flying.  :right:

I was told at one point it is five miles from the observation deck to the crater so you could have some range issues.

Yeah.  On a day with no wind it might be possible.  But that is a total of 10 miles of flight.  So battery issues may come up before signal range issues.

I saw the drone as I was coming to the end of the bridge on my way home.
