I hate driving in downtown Vancouver

Recommended Posts

I made the mistake of saying yes to a small 5 ton load of plants that needed a special delivery this morning . I don’t get to drive the little trucks often.

Not only had I forgotten how much I hate driving in downtown Vancouver , but I really didn’t have happy thoughts

when my alarm went off at 3 a.m. and I was warm and cozy and the house was rather cold.

Oh well. I felt better after getting the special delivery done to some very nice people and back out to the hinterland of Abbotsford!
I’m putting earplugs in tonight and hope to sleep till at least 7 .

Compared to downtown cement city Vancouver,Abbotsford is wide open country.

It almost claustrophobic wiggling the truck into the loading dock in the bowels of the basement under the high rise district.

I quess you get used to it after a while,I much prefer my deliveries to Alberta and the wide open country..

The scenery is much nicer too!!

Sometimes the destination truns out to be the best part of the trip! I absolutely hate driving into Portland anymore, just too many stupid drivers.

It's been a long time since I've been to Vancouver BC. Big cities are alright under the right circumstances though.

If those circumstances are they're a 2hr drive away from my location. :right:

I’m on parole sort of. I had help loading. And Costco guys rolled the racks out.

Didnt have to load any empty racks. Came home empty.

Auto shift and power steering were my friends.

Shoulder is responding to physio and anti inflammatory meds.

I’ll be back to normal gimped in a week or so..

That I can live with for now...
