WTB F150 supercab long bed 93 to 96

Recommended Posts

My daughter is looking to replace her totaled truck.  Looking for F150 supercab long bed less that 180,000 miles 2WD if fine. preferred engine its the 5.8 but 5.0 would be ok. needs to be under $3,000.00 auto tranny and XLT model is desired. Newer ones with the 4.6 or 5.4 maybe.  No V6 must be one of the V8s. F250 would be good but usually to much $$$$$ short bed might be ok but long bed is better.

Not yet but I think she is going to check one out while I am in Minn.  93 F150 supper cab, long bed,  5.8, auto, 2 WD, canopy, but,   will not start without starting fluid and way down on power. they are asking $1800.00. pics look good and the engine was recently "rebuilt" so ??? but if the overall truck is clean and straight. I have not had time or energy enough to try to get the F250 7.3 IDI cleaned up checked out and  back together so this might work out.  She is meeting the guy at a shop that will run diagnostics on it before she makes offer. The only time the guy is available during daylight hours in the next few weeks is on the 2nd and 3rd while I am in Minn.

Thanks,

Yeah She carries a huge amount of stuff around with her, especially to shows so a super cab is hard to live without. The goats go in the back so all her other stuff is in the cab. That's  an awful lot of stuff rebuilt for just 120,000 miles.   Rebuilt Transmission and Freshly Overhauled Engine but if all the work was actually done right, it should be a good truck.  just rebuilt and over heating maybe head gasket?????that doesn't sound good.   If it was closer I still might check it out but Montana is too far away to take a chance.

if she can live without a super cab, this one sure looks good.

oops, just read the entire add.  has an overheating problem.

Weird, the add says Bozeman but the map shows really close to me. Not worth what they are asking if it needs work but if it doesn't sell by the time I get back from Minn. for mom's memorial etc. and Natasha has not found anything by then I may check it out.

Thanks, it would be a good truck for her but it plus a canopy would be beyond her budget.  I will see where we are at when I get back from Minn..maybe she will sell some of her herd and have more $$$$  but probably not.........
