Heated vest/jackeet

Recommended Posts

Has anyone hear ever used a heated vest or jacket?   I was thinking about getting one for my wife for her to use when she is standing around at all my daughters horse shows in February, March and April when it's raining and cold.

If you have, what did you like and not like about them?  Any particular brand better then the other?

my buddy has a Milwaukee, as far as i know he likes it. (kids in hockey)

I have heard the the same thing. I was looking into a heated jacket for riding the Harley. The Milwaukee battery heated jacket was the recommendation I got.

I know the General Contractor for the house in Moses Lake has one for work.

He normally works right through the winter months.

So Milwaukee is getting the votes here.    I am thinking she would like a vest more so that she can wear her barn coat over the top of it.    Milwaukee doesn't make a vest version.

I'll do some looking and see what I can find.

Us hearty (maybe foolish lol) Canucks that work outside year round just buy heavy duty winter gear but the tough part is staying dry and not sweating. Layered might work. Hopefully that Electric ine works for her.

Never even knew there was such a thing as a heated jacket.

I haven't found them for normal size folks....

I personally layer up and have wool or synthetics.  No cotton.

There are a few vests that the motorcycle riders use but I think most are 12 volt off the motorcycle power so you would need 12 volt power source..
