Major fuel leak

Recommended Posts

Just got to work and noticed the fuek smell and it was dripping off the front driver side of the car. Popped the hood and the air box and battery are covered in fuel. Engine was running fine when I shut the engine off. I will try to troubleshoot as time allows today.53d135e9321c1b2ccc8ec16340a3d78b.jpg

Bummer!
Good thing it wasn't gas!
I lost about 20 gallons of fuel when my pressure regulator blew a gasket in the 02. Sure made the road slick I couldn't get traction for anything

Grab a face shield, start it up and see where it's coming from....

Glad you got it fixed. My truck has done that to me twice, cracked injector line and loose fuel return. I don't ever want to have a fuel leak again.

VW's don't use a very good quality of rubber hose. I have seen many dried and cracking fuel lines and don't even get me started on the vacuum lines that fall apart between your fingers!
