Trying a couple new cleaning products

Recommended Posts

Hand rub? I did a small spot to see how it’d look, even that was too much. I’ve got a smaller orbital and a big circular buffer that cuts down on the work but can still be hard on the body after a while.

I pulled the boat out and applied the silverline today. Wind was blowing like a sob so it didn’t go as well as it probably should but there’s a noticeable improvement in shine. Be interesting to see how it holds up over the summer. Be nice to just wash it and apply this stuff again next year and not deal with buffing and waxing. Hard to get a good picture.

Were you able to buy from them?

I had to fill out an application for a product I'm looking at.

www.iglcoations.com

They asked about my company and for my website... I used here... LOL

I didn't try and purchase it from them but that's interesting.  I purchased it from a detailer (Bill the Buff Man) here in town.  I'm sure I paid a premium but he's been offering some good tips on buffing my boat so I figured least I could do is buy the product from him.

Now you have me curious of using on my trailer it’s 7 yrs old and showing it’s age. Wonder how much it would take.

Your boat looks great.

Can you pm me the price or post it if you want.

Got an email from that company they want to hook me up with someone to do it in their dealer network.

I explained to him I'm in Moses Lake and there aren't any or any I'd trust.. No reply back yet.

This has turned into a big pain in the :deadhorse:.

At this rate I'll be waxing this season also.

Sounds about right Russ. I got about 1/2l and I think I paid about $100 for it.  Bought some other at the same time and didn't bother with a bill so...

The silverline is a lot less expensive though.   Mike have you put it on yet?

I believe thats only 100ml - enough to make 2l of product - I bet your boat is bigger than that.

This is from the web page you provided.  Russ am I off on amounts?

100 ml = 10 Liters  I'm thinking I could do my boat with 10 Liters of fluid?  They say at 5%.

I'm not good at this stuff so I'm listening

Or I order 5 bottles for 103.70  Still less.   But I need some help with the math vs coverage. I don't want to start and run out.

I'd like to actually get enough for a coverage now and another at the end of the season.

Ok, So as soon as I hear it works good I'm ordering 5 bottles off Amazon....It says that covers over 3000 Square Feet...  I think that will have to do.

100ml * (1/0.05) = 2,000ml or 2L

100ml = 0.1L = 3.38oz

You're reversed with the decimal point.

100ml is 0.1 liter.

Expensive stuff.

yup!

But if it works on boats, its cheaper than having someone else wax it.

Paul. It made a noticeable difference in appearance when I applied it. Your boat is pretty immaculy so its hard to imagine itd do much there. Time will tell how it holds up for me.  I put my boat in yesterday and it won't come out till October. Its supposed to make the surface a lot easier to clean which would maybe help with your routine at ml.

Ok, Mike do you notice a difference during clean up after use?

I'm thinking about buying the exact same products you did.  My biggest wish is it improves and shortens the clean up time.

I have read that the hydrosylex stuff is not all it's cracked up to be. The fact that they say the more you use it the better makes me wonder.
I am thinking I will try that silver line stuff on my camper.
The new truck needs a clay bar and wax badly.
