Well I got 6 years out of my last battery and to replace it with the same brand and size it would be $160. So I can upgrade to an AC Delco AGM for $227 or an Optima Red top for $243.

Any other recommendations please feel free to voice your opinion.

I'm at about ten years on my truck batteries, probably living on borrowed time, but they are run of the mill Les Schwab lead acid.

I’ve had mixed results with optimas.

I’m not sold on agm batteries unless needing to get creative with mounting them.

I personally run Costco batteries. Rumor has it they changed suppliers.

I don't have near the experience as Mark but this is my take also. I like Odyssey agm batteries but usually only for niche applications. I have been running a tiny Odyssey in my sports cars because of the small size yet still decent battery. They don't have the cold cranking amps of a lead acid though. I run a single 2150 Odyssey in my truck but it doesn't have the cranking power of the two stock batteries for sure.

Personally I think for normal applications you can't beat a normal wet battery.
