The Sea Lions are, right out in front of the house. I dont see any boats out there but something is running in the River right now. I listen to them barking all night.

Smelt have been making appearances and a few springers have been caught.

Last year, there were over 30 sea lions that camped at the mouth of the Coweeman on the Cowlitz. They were gorging on smelt. Have only seen a few this year and they come and go.

How did you do on the Kokanee?

I hope you got in touch with Scott (mudnchev) that is his home base and nobody knows the fishing there like he does!

My brothers - and I occasionally are almost there every weekend. We've run in to Scott in the past (last april) and he's given us some pointers. He lives on the south side of the lake I believe. My middle brother Richard talks to him more that I do now!

We caught a couple of nice ones - the boat is still in the middle of being outfitted with downriggers but we had a Scotty mounted on.

The smoke is actually fog - nearly needed radar! :)

Scott has a campsite on the lake one of those buy a site deals and they have a great launch but he lives a ways away. He is definitely a good source of info on that lake.

Went out with the wife and Rusty and his wife Cindy yesterday.

The seals took most of a nice black mouth from Cindy, we never got it close enough to see if it was hatchery or not. Terry landed a native and we never did find any keepers but it was a great day out fishing with good friends!

It was a good day out on the water. Even though we didn't bring home any fish, it was still fun. Mark has been so busy working on his house, he needed a day out fishing.

Hit the upriver end of Puget Island on the Columbia River Saturday - It was time to test the new Lamiglass Classic Glass rod I bought for the DR's on the Trophy. Had a couple of drive-by hits but no hookups.
