Installed a Diamond Eye 5", last fall on my 98.5. Straight pipe. Time too install a muffler. Open for your ideas.
Thanks Gary.

I installed a FTE Resonator on my 4" exhaust system. I read a lot of reviews about their resonator's and how well they cut down on inside cab drone/vibration. I have been very happy with mine and they are built to cut down on noise, but not cause exhaust flow restriction. Check them out, they have lots of choices on sizes.

I run the small Donaldson, 26" I think. It's 5" pipe and I also cut out the baffle inside so it's straight through. I love it. It's just loud enough for me and doesn't drone with dual 4" over the axle and tips. But it's also worth noting, I like loud exhausts so opinions do vary.

Thanks guys.

Yep the Donaldson is great. When I had dual outlet 5 inch on my 2nd gen it still didn't kill the 2k RPM drone completely though. Even with a resonator and the Donaldson it still droned.

Check this out: http://www.cumminsfo...kill-drone.html

Very interesting, I might try the Helmholtz chamber if I ever do a 2nd gen swap on my 4th gen.
