Fall refit for Loose Change

brought loose change home for the fall list of upgrades, so here is the list

new drop curtain and fix any snaps that are damaged

build new dash, with new switches, link 8 and fusion stereo will be mounted in the panel as well

install espar heater

install new radar

hydraulic steering

panel for electronics mounted to hardtop

cooler storage where ice box was

paint with bilgekote behind padded side panels

new cylinder head ( i have 2 broken exhaust bolts, and this head had a few cracks when i put it on)

fix water leak in exhaust mixer

polish boat (i might get this done)

polish desmiones hard water stains out of glass


it is a big list and hope to be done in 40 days
my expedition pulled this boat like a dream, was funny having both my Cummins 4bt's hooked together

5500lb boat plus trailer weight, not bummed at all the head is coming off this head has 9mm injector holes and really want a 7mm head. plus the head is only $400 for a bare one. i am so happy with this boat it is worth doing.

She's gonna be tip top Dave! That's not bad for a head, probably no more than mercruiser parts and likely a lot easier to work on.

 

I finally brought Loose Cruise home on Friday and tucked it into the shop. I also have a list for the winter but nothing like yours. Just glad it got me through another summer problem free.

Boat is at the canvas shop getting fitted with new drop and side canvas, new dash panel if being waterjetted from aluminum plate

That's awesome Dave. Are those switches back lit when the lights are on? Where did you source the switches from?

 

The dash in my boat is showing its age, I'd really like to build a new one sometime. Maybe winter 2018-2019.

yes back lit, got the from rocker switch pro's and you can write what ever you want

oh wow thanks Dave. That switch site is the bomb. I love how you can go with both dependent and independent on a switch.

really opens up a great source for custom switches at a reasonable price
