Well, Wednesday evening was clutch #3 of the week. Driver called in and said it was slipping. Swapped hin trucks and drove it back from West Olympia. Lets just say I had to only have my pinky toe on the throttle. 4 hours after I got it back to the shop, one of the other mechanics atill could not put his hand in the bellhousing because it was so hot. Here is the aftermath.7c606bc1df0a49d3910bb4cdf292b69a.jpg909a970eab2bf88704602825ed063d14.jpga9552c62a6f6ad15072717af37fbc548.jpgfd7229d5b7b0a59c96570a7ba532d1b4.jpgf2de39a179907c88682d0be29c424c28.jpg3560563949784ae62114e9a7cfb20791.jpg

That looks about as bad as my kids disc brake pads when the car decided he needed to change them.  He applied the brake and then let off and one of the backing plates dropped out onto the ground!  There was no pad left at all.  Piston popped out of the bore also.  Scared him a lot as he was just heading down a steep hill, got it stopped with the emergency brake before it was too late...

That's a lot of scrap metal.

Yup, flywheel is getting replaced also. Heat stress cracks all over.

Nice clutch work.

Austin when you travel is there a shop tool box you work out of or do you have to ask to borrow tools?

Victim #3 rolled into the shop this week. Wierd vibration and clutch brake not working. Crawled underneath to find this and half the bellhousing bolts missing.e1de0de187f46e6f1b3468579d3955a5.jpg
