Well, it came down to removing the inside wall! I did a remodel of the bedroom and after the cabinets came down the whole wall was exposed so I thought now is the best time. So out came the wall and in went some R20 Kraft faced pink stuff. I could tell after the last piece went in that the chill in the front wall was gone. So I put some new RV panels in and it's being covered up with some 1x6 T&G bug kill pine.

I have the 1/4 Birch plywood up and I'm thinking I might change the final product. I think satin clear and some blue rails every 16"

cool. getting it done.  How big you slide.  I have some 2-1/4 inch thick  4x8 foot or  narrower 8 foot length urethane  foam sheet you attach with long screws 4-1/2 or 6 inch  insulation lag screws and speed washers.  it only task 4 screws to hold it in place 6 or 8 to real secure for high winds.   you need  to remove to put the slide in.  only issue is very few foam are fire rated. mine not. But take a real high tmeperature to burn it. I have never seen urethane  burn and worked in Insulation 7 year back with I was young man.
