Good to be back. They way things are going in the industry, it's time to get back to basics. I've been busy with the family but I would to keep in touch with everyone.

Boy I hear that!!!

It sure was nice to see a bunch of people from the ol days and do some bench racing.

Kinda like buying a new truck there is no way for a guy like me could even consider playing the game again and really have no interest in it. When we were in it there were a bunch of friends and very good people in the game and it was more about having a good time than competition. Going on a group drive or getting together at a BBQ is more my style now a days

Well, I guess it's up to me to resurrect this thread for the New Year.  Look's like things are heating up (certainly not the weather) and Scotty has linked me into this thread to enlighten me.  Now, I know it's too early to start a food list, but I got some tree trimming to do this winter and Mark has first dibs on the apple and pear wood.  He's got a fair amount of wood for smokin' but I know he wouldn't turn down any donations of suitable wood.  Consider this if you have some wood work to do this winter/spring.  I figure a length of 18-24 inches should work just fine.  Correct me if I'm wrong, Hoss.

I'm thinking a standing order LOL

with as much use as he'll get his wood shed might end up 50/50 house heat and smoker storage

I will make it to this one of these years. I'll most likely be in Iowa at this time but maybe if my dad and I meet half way in Yellowstone or Glacier parks in July I could then make this party in Aug.

My neighbor may be cutting down his apple tree, if so I'll see if I can nab the wood, or at least some of it.

Is this still on for August 19th weekend?  I may not be making it, that's the weekend of the total solar eclipse crossing Oregon so I'm going to be staking out a spot to watch it. The eclipse is on Monday morning Aug 21 but I want to be in Eastern OR for it.  If you miss it the next total solar eclipse to come to WA or OR is next century, but there will be one in northern CA in August 2044 and in northeastern Montana August 2045.
