Front wheel bearing on 2006 2500 HD

Recommended Posts

Neighbors boy asked if I could help him do the front bearing on his 2006 Dmax 2500 HD. I've done plenty of various types on Dodges but never a Chevy/GMC product. I like to be prepared.

What am I in for here? Easy job? Hard job? Couple hours should be enough time?

Thanks

Well turns out he didn't get parts yet. Will have to wait till later in the week I guess.

Looks like, pull the wheel, two bolts in the caliper, four bolts on the hub, put it back together. Can't see it taking much more than an hour unless it's all seized together.

Thanks Mark, I'll do that. I have a decent impact and a 1" drive socket set so one way or the other...

hub bolts can be a bitch , hard to get off sometimes ... it's 15MM , use a 6 point 1/2" drive on a long handle breaker
