It will if you run 35-40 mph in top gear 1200-1500rpm and don't mind all the people honking at you :right:

Yeah, visit some of the hyper-mile driving groups and you'll see a lot of those people are pretty strange, (and smug). If I had nothing to do, nowhere to go, no place to be then I too could see driving like those guys do. :right: I use a little bit of those techniques on coasting down but that's about it. I have stuff to do and places to be! Ha

It seems the older I get, the better my mpg is. Funny thing is, I still get to where I'm going when I'm supposed to be there...go figure!

I get about 1400 on a fill up [on a trip] but usually fill at around 1000 , I don't like pulling all the crapola off the tank bottom .. but I only have 90 Gallon capacity total. been many a trip where I stopped when empty after a straight through run .. as in non stop driving , but now days my bladder can't make it that long LOL have to stop at least every 600 miles now and after the blood clots I try to stop every 2 hours and walk around the rig several times , blood clots are not a fun thing to play nice with.

Very true! From one who knows all too well.......except that I try to stop every hour and wear compression hose when I drive all the time....

I have too much fun driving to worry about fuel mileage. If I'm that worried about fuel use I just ride the bike and get great mileage and still have fun.
