You can rub a little oil on the seal if you wish. I feel kinda funny typing this after seeing the picture under your signature I couldnt see it from my phone when I first replied.

In the spirit of re use I grabbed one of the old injector cross over tubes I had, chopped it off, tapped it, and screwed it on to a stud on the front cover for my timing pointer. It's got a fairly large gap from the balancer but at the angle I'll be looking at it that should be okay. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N910A using Tapatalk

I think I got the speedometer programmed and working. It needs to sit outside for about 15 minutes in order for the speedometer to acquire the satellites. It was raining today so I couldn’t do it today. I did get the pulses programmed and got the backlighting working. Still need to fix connections to the water temperature gauge.

Spent two days in the north rim, then the bad luck hit. I got out of the truck and smelled differential lube. Checked it out and had a small amount gear oil on the LR wheel. I know I ended up overfilling so I am hoping it's that, along with hot temps and high elevations causing some foaming. So far I drained out a pint and keeping an eye on it. Temps seem fine, no noise, and not getting worse. Picked up a seal and some extra oil just in case. Second problem is no one noticed the "Check" light was on the refrigerator. We didn't have hookup fo 3 days so things in the fridge started getting warm, a couple restarts and good. Headed East to moab on AZ 89A this morning, before long it was 110 degrees out. TOO HOT!!! We stopped at the Glen Canyon dam, that was good, they had to cancel the tours because of the heat. Other than the Rear axle leak the truck has done great, even in the 110 heat. The 2011 6.7 Powerstroke does not have a great exhaust brake, but in tow/haul the transmission downshifts so well I thinks it's slows better than the 2011 Ram we had.
