I just went and looked at the first post.... I was trying to remember when I started that forum. We had just done a BOMB party at a Dodge dealership, and some guys did a dyno run. Vaugh, Rip, Rob, Muddy, and sheesh, a ton of folks showed up. So, I started it to encourage the Idaho folks to get involved and get organized.
As I recall, there was some discussion between Rob and I and a couple of others about whether we were trying to "add" Idaho to the NW Bombers, and it was just sort of left to fate, to see what would happen.
The Idaho folks have taken off and in spite of ups and downs like we've had here... Seem to have done well. That being said, perhaps renaming might be in order... Perhaps something like "Idaho Region discussion" or events or something would be more appropriate.
I know I haven't been by much. Work, stress, life... it takes its toll on everyone and everything. It's hard to believe that I set up this forum when I had little kids, and now, they're all legally adults. Rob is gone and has been gone and I STILL have not fully broken the habit of the thought he was moving to be my almost-neighbor. I hope we get to be neighbors in Heaven regardless.
Its great to see that this great passion hasn't died off, and that new blood and enthusiasm continues to join and keep a great idea moving along. Keep on Smokin...
Mark
PS, I'll have my Cummins back on the road shortly, too. Sure have missed it.

What it needs is about 12 - 15 hours of my time. I had an injection pump failure a while back, and the truck ended up being parked for 3 years, as business and school and family and financial issues consumed my time, and the truck wasn't a priority - I didn't need to use it. I've bought all the parts and pulled the pump and it's time to put the pump together, commit a few minor mods, and then get the truck running again. For various reasons, I need to replace a very bad ball joint that suddenly started failing severely just before the pump failed, I have to replace the front brakes, all the shocks, and a leaky rear axle seal, and I need to pull the front cover off the engine, seal up an oil leak, and replace a number of failing services parts, such as belts, hoses, etc. I'm now needing to have the truck again, and every time I set aside a long weekend or something, old Murphy comes along and takes up my time again. Oh, the joys of running your own business that provides a 24/7/365 service (internet).
The truck's got well past 300K miles on it, it's just time for a lot of stuff. :)
