NWDave commented on starting a work list a few days ago......so.....I'll start.

I'm going to do:

KDP (I know....it's about time :bl: )
finally fix my tail gate latch....it's been....oh.....5 years...not that I'm counting :hit:
hopefully look for a vacuum leak off the booster cuz my brake idiot light comes more than I like

I should have all the tools I'll need - moral support is always needed though :p:

what else is out there???

Rich, I have fan wrenches you can use for your KDP project. You won't be the only person there opening up the front timing cover......I need to reseal mine. I have a new Cummins gasket for it and "Right Stuff". I also will be doing the usual 1st gen pump tweaks (full fuel screw & 1/8" timing bump). I will probably need the "S" wrench for that. (whoever has one?) So far, that's it on my plate.

Yes = you'll enjoy the pump mods. Why is your timing cover leaking?

Don't forget, when getting elbow deep into KDP's, most will also want to replace their fan belts with bright shiny new ones, since they're there already. I remember a few bomb parties where foreheads were slapped and a mad dash was made to the nearest parts store.

Basically when I did my KDP @ Hoss's, no gasket was used on the timing cover. Instead, plain RTV was used to reseal it. The RTV started to fail a few miles ago and the leak has gotten worse. I now have a Cummins gasket and high quality sealant. This should no doubt fix the leak for good.

I think i will be bringing the stuff to install my alternator tach, and possibly the pump off the new 92. Need to pull it apart and clean it if anyone would like to get a hands on break down of a VE.

I bought mine through Genos Garage. They can actually order you anything, as long as they carry the brand. Mine is an Isspro 5503. This tachometer is designed to plug into the factory tach harness under the dash.

New here, but looking to do the 3200 spring and tweak on the pump a little more, should probably do the KDP also, but will depend on $$ and time.

Also need to troubleshoot my tach, it getting a little flakey lately, read 3-400 rpm low, then works good.

Looking forward to meeting people and getting ideas for the truck.

Wife just yanked the leash, Kids B-day party is that day, So I'll have to wait for the next one...

Mike G,
I have done several of the 3200 gsk installs. I would be happy to help during the party.
