Not a NEED........yet........but with the way things are right now, Id be caught with my pants down if I dont get some of my monthlys paid off. It has taken me 6 months to get the nerve to sell it, there is a lot of history in that truck. The gage backing was my first fathers day present from Shawn, If it wasnt for some kinda weird guy named Gary Oyster selling me this truck and telling me about this great group of guys that are called the North West Bombers that will help you work on your tuck (more like drop your truck off at a party with a bed full of parts and they will install every thing for you before you get back to the party rolleyes.gif ), chances are I would never have found TDR or NWB.......which most of you have no idea what some of these people mean to me, I am a transpant from Spokane, all my friends are from there and out side of work I didnt have any real friends arround here. Now becasue of this truck and its previous affiliations which tie directly back to Rob Hanson (Garys boss I think), I have some of the best freinds ever! I really only have one life long friend that I consider my brother and he is the Spokane area and now the rest of my "good" friends are all due to this group. Sooo its kind of a hard thing to do but right now its the best thing for my family.

Don't worry, we'll still like ya even without the truck (you're just a lot harder to spot now). Good luck on the sale! Jeff

I know decisions like this can be hard but sometimes it's what you have to do. Hopefully it'll go to a good BOMBer home. Won't ever forget the truck my life almost ended in 783.gif but you're right it really does have some history.

I am not sure they were on the truck when I bought it, there are a few places that I have seen one being JC Whitney.

I am sure they are all over the web.

Wow... Sad to see it up for sale!

I have always liked that truck. I still remember the first time I got to see it. Hoss and I were on our way back north from somewhere. We pulled off to meet you so we could pickup/drop off something.

We took the wrong exit and ended up driving through town... With the trailer. 783.gif

I remember being really tired. May have been the trip down to Cali to get the rocket!

Good luck with your sale! smile.gif

I remember when you showed me your "new" truck at my Dad's and I was totally blown away. At the time I was looking for a new tow rig and you suggested I join NWBombers to get a sense of what TOW really meant, which I did. Then I found that ad in the local Moneysaver and bought the Silver Dually...the rest is history. Funny how life works. The sale of your blue truck will lead to better days. I've had to sell horses to keep finances on the level. It's never pleasant to create a favorite and then have to part with it. I wish I could buy it and keep it in our family but right now that's just not possible.

I do hope it finds a NWBombers owner. It's a righteous truck with an interesting history and good care and feeding for it's whole life.

Here's a pic of the '01 in Rob's driveway, taken January 28, 2001, when Cliff and I were installing the Jardine exhaust. Truck was close to 10,000 miles then. What is interesting is it looks like it still has the same exhaust, SS rocker panels, wheelwell trim, taillight decals, tube steps and backup lights it did 8 years ago cool.gif

TDR QUOTE: It was great to meet some new members this trip such as Bob Beauchaine, Scott Collins, and Cliff (handle cdaleh --did I get that right?) who drove up from Hillsboro. We BOMBed Gary Oyster's truck even though we didn't see him come by, he dropped off his '01.5 ETH Saturday night and we BOMBed it Sunday morning. . .Cliff and I took care of the exhaust while Scott did the gauges. Then we took it for a spin to make sure everything worked as expected, with his ugly old exhaust strapped to the bed racks
rolleyes.gif At least its new owner knew what wrenches were and how to use them, I had some much needed instruction/help along the way but got good and dirty learning!

Thought you'd get a kick out of that comment, but it's exactly how it happened 783.gif
At the opposite end of the spectrum is Treibel, not only does he do his own wrenching on Blackout, no one else dares get come near it with any sort of tool in hand! alarm.gif

I think if Gary had kept the truck it wouldn't have been kept up this well, still looks great 8yrs & 90,000 miles later.
