I dont know.

I have access to a set of plans for a hydrogen generator that will work on our trucks. The guys that are sharing this went to eastern Oregon this week to vacation and run around. This was also the 'shakedown' run to figure if it actually works. The parts are about 20 bucks at the local hardware store.

I'll post 'em up when I get ahold of them.

IMHO the returns that system might be seeing is the 'map sensor' adjustments making the car run lean (bad idea)

After seeing/thinking about this, it has to be snake oil.

1 - You would need to replace said gas/diesel with the same out of water/hydro because the injectors are still going to squirt the same about of fuel unless the ecm is re-programed.

2 - The output of the hydrogen would great enough that all you do is rest your foot on the go pedal and your making hwy speeds.

Lean gasser = burnt internal parts - not good.

That's my .0257

I'm thinking it's not intended to replace the primary fuel but to suplement it and enhance MPG. The injectors will still do their job, inject diesel, but with another fuel (assuming it works) providing some of the power the ECM will dial back fuel output to maintain X RPM for X throttle position.

Eric Buckle in TDR spent some $$ buying some hydrogen system to install in his '01, going to watch that thread:

100% Crap

The energy it takes to break the H-O-H Bonds in MORE than the energy you are returned when you burn the H2 again...oh and since the engine is already <30% efficient...well, you see where I am going...

lol...oxygen smoxygen

it is an OXIDIZER...not a fuel...and since diesels run lean anyway...what good is more of something that is not fully utilized on the first place
