You really can climb down and take a dump so you don’t have to have 60K beneath you 😰💩🤣

Have stumbled across cheaper rear view mirror solutions, though wireless, and since this is a low use function I'll reconsider.

Yeah, that sounds way worse than this, honestly it didn't really hurt much till this morning. There's a pretty hard rule about not drinking while fishing in my buddys boat. It's all about safety, even sober things happen fast in a bass boat at 70mph with little more than the prop in the water and all the other jokers on the water not paying attention as it is, not to mention just stepping off the side of the deck while you're fishing. That's what cabin cruisers are for

I didn't get a T-Shirt but I did get a treble Barbed that had to be pushed thru my Thumb nail... Just the thought of it makes me feel like vomiting again. I must admit I got to witness Hoss's. He kept fishing with no drinking. Me on the other hand get handed a Bottle of Fireball before it got pushed through... LOL He said it's times like this that I keep a bottle in the fish box.. Not sure if I drank more prior or after the hook coming out, really not sure if it helped or not but I did keep fishing. Just more drinking was involved...

Double Din won't be the cheap route. But it can be done.
  10. Great videos Russ! I love that you put the names with the trucks/people so guys who were not around know who they are.

I think I have a boost gauge as well but it may not match exactly but the price is right I also have a few wiring harness' for gauges all made up so it makes the install a little easier.

I have a 2 gauge pod its yours if you want it and I believe I have a EV2 style pyro you can have as well. Not sure I have the sender for it so you may have to buy that.

When things wrap up a bit early at work and by chance your buddy asks you to go fishing...it’s like it was meant to be. Got a few hrs in on Banks tonight. Nothing huge but I caught a few top water which is always a blast. Managed to pull one of these too [emoji23] The fishing line trick works awesome. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Another one on its way out, different outfit moving this one. Coincidentally Omega was in the rail yard and just finished loading this transformer. This is the same double lane rig they used to move one of our transformers a few years ago. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Have you looked into the type that replaces your rear view mirror? My 2012 Toyota Tacoma had a factory one, unless it was in reverse you couldn't tell it had a screen in it. Kept down on clutter and worked quite well.

Mark, that operates via ODBII, no? No have on this old beast. Looking for low cost... Not finding anything round (not that that's a surprise), but am finding some pretty small footprint displays: https://www.adafruit.com/product/910 On the edge of being too small. The overhead cubby might end up being the more practical location (can go a bit bigger, which would be necessary because it would be farther away than would something at the pillar).
  20. The edge insite CTS2 has gauges and it will work as a display for a backup camera. You can get it with programming or without.

Paul, is that possible in an early Gen2? It only has a single DIN slot. I'd thought about a flip-out screen but that'll end up covering the vents. I currently don't use the truck enough to justify spending a lot on this: already has a reasonable enough, newer bluetooth capable stereo. NOTE: I misspoke about the hot wire run for the camera. One just needs to pull power from the reverse lights (cameras are really low power): on cars/trucks- on my tractor, however, I had to do a full run.

I suggest making the effort to put in a Double Din Radio and then you have your back up screen at the same time.

Yes GMC 1 ton are nice upgrade for little money. If you ever need rotors go to third generation rotors and pads, nearly 50 to 75% increase in barke surface, it take two new calapiror brackets, one each side, same calipters work.

I don't like wireless as it's not real robust. Also issues of providing a power source: with wired the power is running in/over the video cable; issues with snagging the cable (I've blitzed a couple on the front of my tractor), but I still prefer wired. I recently installed a wired backup camera in my car, which was a LOT more work than it'll be in this truck: removing a bunch of interior trim, routing within the car vs with the truck it'll just route out along the frame. BTW, off-topic - I'm starting to think about improvements to braking and I see that you went with the GM brake cylinders; how much improvement did that get you? (I'm aiming to improve for towing activities; I have a Pacbrake exhaust brake, which is a good thing).

I would say your next bump to the power bump list should be to have the timing adjusted.
